Trick to Remaining Creative
and how you can do it too.
Welcome to Day 2/30 of this newsletter challenge.
Over the next 30 days, I’ll send out a daily email featuring someone who I think has found ways to Set The Pace in their life (shameless plug) and share the unique ways they go about their work, life, and everything in between.
The email will be divided into:
3 insights into our guests’ life
2 quotes that leave you a little better than they found you
1 podcast recommendation
3 Insights
Emma is a bright, determined, and creative marketer who has the best eye for design, trends, and all the beautiful things in the world. Lucky for me, Emma also happens to be my sister. Today she tells us about the apps that help her stay organized, how to be around people who push you to be better, and some of the best advice she’s ever received.
So, let’s dive in:
What’s one app you always recommend?
Emma: ‘Whoop and Notion - where my love for data and optimisation intersect. I’m currently building templates and testing them out, hopefully, I’ll be able to offer them to anyone who wants to design their optimal life.’
Being creative, what’s one way you remain inspired?
Emma: ‘Seeing ordinary people do extraordinary things inspires me. We're so used to focusing on the 1% of humanity that are the outliers, and we don't relate to these mythical figures. When I meet people and learn about their story, their struggles, what lights them up, what they've overcome, what they've created... you realize very quickly there's something to learn from everyone who crosses your path and the average human is capable of so much. This resilience and inner drive inspire me to do better and think differently every day.’
What’s the best advice youve ever received
Emma: ‘If you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room. My dad said this to me years ago and I always find myself in the privileged position to be in the right rooms.‘
