I have a confession to make 🙄

Time to be honest on what's not working.

I have a confession to make.

I did not want to write today’s newsletter.

Here’s why 👇️

Partly because it’s been a few weeks since I’ve written one, and the longer you do avoid something, the easier the excuses get. Secondly, I haven’t released a podcast in two months, and somehow, I feel like if I’m not busting out episodes, then I have no right to write this newsletter.

The brain. Urgh, how tiring.

All of this is to say that it’s been a busy period and Q4 for me (which I am eternally grateful for), but it also makes it hard to keep the promises to yourself.

Things I have been gratefully busy with:

  • Running socials for Neil Agius as he broke a new WORLD RECORD SWIM

  • Creating content for Gary Mullen; honestly probably one of the most humble founders I’ve ever met

  • Post-swim events & chaos

  • And figuring out this whole content creator / social media world I’ve thrown myself into.

I also realize that the things I’m not committing to (like this newsletter), and maybe this applies to whoever is reading this, are because you’re not enjoying it. I understand you can’t always enjoy everything 100%, but if it’s a passion project or something not linked to your livelihood, then maybe you can be a tad dramatic and have a hissy fit if it’s not giving you some kind of joy.

That’s why I’m re-thinking this podcast, it’s set up and how I can move forward in a way that excites me and is more sustainable.

And this is where YOU come in. I need your help. Anyone reading this (hey, mum) could you reply back to this email with the kind of podcast episodes and podcasts formats you listen to week over week. There is no wrong answer here.

Thank you for reading this oddly-placed newsletter from a busy brain.

Appreciate you all 🤗

If you’ve read this far, thank you!

Until next Friday,

Mar X
